British Heart Foundation

For the third year running The International Mini Rugby Series has raised money through the sale of Programmes for the British Heart Foundation's campaign to increase the number of Automated External Defibrillators in London Tube stations.

At the International Mini Rugby Series 2011 a total of £926 was raised.

The International Mini Rugby Series 2010  raised £1518.

The International Mini Rugby Series 2009 raised £678.

The International Mini Rugby Series supports the British Heart Foundation in its campaign to purchase more Automated External Defibrillators.

An AED is a machine that can restart the heart by giving an electric shock in some cases of cardiac arrest. They are widely available in the USA in airports / railway stations / community centres / leisure centres and bus stations but not in the UK.

While refereeing a senior rugby match, a few years ago, Jamie McKimm, had a player who suffered a cardiac arrest and never recovered. An AED was not available on site, as with many sports clubs and leisure centres in the UK.

Please give generously and many thanks for purchasing a programme.
